Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Jeremy Maclin To NY Jets or Kansas City Chiefs As Riley Cooper, Dexter McCluster Free Agent Options For Chip Kelly Offense

The Philadelphia Eagles were one of the surprise teams in the league last season and now they have some major offseason questions, as Jeremy Maclin is a free agent along with Riley Cooper and with teams like the NY Jets and Kansas City Chiefs interested in his services, Chip Kelly could look to As Riley Cooper, Dexter McCluster or Eric Decker as free agent options.

Maclin will get attention on the market despite coming off of a torn ACL, as he has put up some very solid numbers during his time in Philly and it could have been even better this year with Kelly taking over and Nick Foles stepping up. According to NFL.com, Maclin said he wants to stay in Philly, but teams like the Jets and the Chiefs could go after him, as both need playmakers and both have some money to spend this offseason. The report says that the Jets need a number one receiver and with the cap moving a bit, they could afford to go after him.

The Eagles have a number of free agents to deal with and Maclin could also get attention from his old head coach in KC, as the Chiefs were lacking production overall at the position last season and could use another legit threat next to Dwayne Bowe. Maclin put up some very good numbers under Reid and with names like Hakeem Nicks and Eric Decker on the market, he could come cheaper than some of those other players.

ESPN.com reports that the Eagles may let him go depending on how much money he asks for and Maclin has said that he could be open to a one year deal and that could give him more options. Cooper had an excellent season with the Eagles and he could return, while the team also may look at Dexter McCluster, as he is a free agent as well. McCluster would fit Kelly's offense very well and he comes from the Chiefs after making 53 catches for 511 yards and he is also an excellent kick and punt returner after being converted fully to WR.

McCluster could also serve as a backup or third back for LeSean McCoy and that gives the team some flexibility and he could be on his way out of town after the Chiefs signed Weston Dressler from the CFL, as he is considered an ace returner and slot receiver. McCluster was ninth in the league with 11.8 yards per punt return and that will get him some suitors.
