The Buccaneers have a new logo design for their Tampa Bay franchise and the Bucs helmets were the first to debut, as photos are online now from the team with a new and enhanced skull picture that will be on the helmets, which also now have a larger flag decal to represent the team.
The Buccaneers quietly made the changes and unlike other teams, were able to get the announcement out with no leaks and now this comes ahead of the team releasing new uniform designs as well. The change is not drastic and puts a different skull picture on the helmet and the new decals are larger than most teams, while the pewter color of the helmets are original to the Buccaneers.
The team has a "shading" technique used on the helmet to make it look a bit darker in spots and the team said it was excited about the changes. The old skull was smaller and had more shadow too it and the old helmets were more of a champagne dark color and now the Buccaneers have a darker helmet and a different flag design.
