Gonzaga and San Diego are playing live on ESPN on Sunday morning or Saturday night depending where you are and the game will be on ESPN2 and the WatchESPN website for streaming and has the Bulldogs coming in after an upset against BYU and the game will be at Jenny Craig Pavilion at 12 am midnight ET.
The Bulldogs fell to Brigham Young on Thursday on the road and now they play against San Diego in California before playing against Pacific. The loss was just the second one for Gonzaga in the West Coast Conference and now they face off against a 6-10 team and the Bulldogs come in at 23-5 on the year. The team is scoring over 75 points per game for 39th in the nation and they have been one of the best shooting teams in the country, ranking eighth in the nation with nearly 50 percent from the field. The team has just three games left on the schedule and they are all on the road. The team has won two in a row before that and they lost to the lone ranked team on the schedule in Memphis.
The Bulldogs had won seven games in a row before that and they are currently first in the conference over BYU. The team is allowing under 70 points per game and they are led by Sam Dower and Kevin Pangos and they are currently ranked at number 25 and could fall out with another loss. The team had previously won at home against BYU and they already have a share of the conference title and that means another March run could be coming. Pangos is leading the team in scoring and he will be the main focus on Saturday night and he will be a top player to keep an eye on.
San Diego is coming into the game after a win against Portland and they will play against BYU at home next and they are scoring 67 points per game this season. The team has won two in a row, but they lost four games straight before that and six of the last eight and now they have the chance to pull an upset against a top 25 and that would be a second shot at things after losing to San Diego State by one point in December. The team is 5-3 on the road this season and they are undefeated at home and this is the last stretch of the schedule before the tournament.
