Wisconsin started their season on a high, winning 14-straight games before losing to Indiana in January. The Badgers then went on toe loss five of their next six games during a stretch where they shot 41.5 percent from the floor and 27.9 percent from beyond the arc. However, improved shooting has the Badgers ranked No. 14 and going for their sixth straight win, facing Indiana at home.
After that struggling stretch of games, Wisconsin has turned things around, shooting 46.8 percent from the floor and 39.2 percent from the 3-point line. Three of those five-straight games have come against ranked opponents. Most recently, the team beat Iowa on the road 79-74. Forward Frank Kaminsky is leading the team after putting up 21 against Iowa just one game after recording 25 points and 11 rebounds against Michigan State.
Against Indiana the first time around, Kaminsky had 11 points and nine rebounds while Traevon Jackson put up 21 points in the loss. Wisconsin has found success against Indiana when playing them at home, beating the Hoosiers 11-striaght times, dating back to 1998.
Since beating Wisconsin, Indiana has not won back-to-back games, dropping six of their last nine since that matchup. Their win against Northwestern over the weekend snapped a four-game losing streak on the road, something they hope to not start up again. Indiana's final stretch of games is not easy. The Wisconsin game is the first of three-straight matchups against ranked opponents as the face Iowa on Thursday and Ohio State on Saturday.
Yogi Ferrell is playing well against ranked opponents, averaging 19.8 points. However, Indiana has lost four of six games against Top 25 teams and Wisconsin could be the next.
