Turkey and Sweden are playing live on Wednesday in an international friendly ahead of the World Cup and with neither team in it, they will be playing for some pride and the match starts up at 1:30 pm ET and comes from Ankara 19 Mayis Stadium and comes ahead of the battle between Ukraine and the United States.
Turkey and Sweden missed out on qualifying for the World Cup and now they are playing an international friendly against each other and Turkey comes in after a win in their last match and that was another friendly with Northern Ireland that they won 1-0. The team lost in qualifying to the Netherlands and won over Estonia and now the team moves along and plays this match. Turkey previously had played against Uzbekistan but that was called off earlier last year due to heat and was changed to Ghana.
Ghana is in a group with the United States in the World Cup along with Portugal and Germany. Zlatan Ibrahimovic did his best to get Sweden into things with three goals to lead the team in friendlies and he could not get Sweden into the World Cup, as they lost to Portugal and now that team with Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to advance out of their tough group. Sweden played against Moldova and Iceland in their last friendly matches and won those and now they play Turkey and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the top star.
