The Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns are playing on Thursday night and the NBA game comes from the US Airways Center in Arizona and has Kevin Durant looking to continue his MVP run and it starts up at 9 pm ET and comes after OKC dominated the Sixers on Tuesday.

The Thunder come into the game after a dominating win against the 76ers and Durant didn't need to play that entire game it was so lopsided and he finished with 42 points, while Russell Westbrook was back to his old self and had 10 rebounds and 14 assists. The team is playing very well right now and they continue their road trip with a game against the La Lakers on Sunday and that will be at the Staples Center. OKC has been one of the best teams in the NBA all season even when playing without Westbrook and they are one of the favorites to get to the finals.

The team comes into the game playing some of its best ball now and they are averaging over 100 points per game to rank fifth in the league, while they are seventh in rebounding and eighth in defense, allowing just 98 per game on average. The team has been stellar up front and Durant has shown why he deserves MVP consideration with LeBron James, as he has scored 30 points or more in nearly half the games this season and he did a ton of good work while Westbrook was out and that could be what pushes him over James.

This season Durant is averaging 31.7 points per game and he has just been superb when OKC need shim to be and heading down the back stretch he is looking to get the team into the number one seed for the second year in a row in the west. The team is four games up on the Blazers in the division and they have a small lead on the San Antonio Spurs for the best record in the west.

The Suns come into the game after a division loss against the Clippers and they are still hanging around in the west and Goran Dragic has been one reason for their success and he is leading the team in scoring. The team is heading into a game with the Golden State Warriors on the road after playing the Thunder and they are now third in the division behind GS and they are in the seventh spot in the west tied with the Mavericks and it will be a close battle for those bottom playoff spots.
