Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen are playing in a second leg Champions League match in the round of 16 on Wednesday and excitement is out, as PSG is up 4-0 and Zlatan Ibrahimovic leads the way as the two sides face off at the Parc des Princes and barring a miracle result, the French side will be through to the next round and it comes as Barcelona and Manchester City play.
The losing sides in both of these games that are on Wednesday had zero goals in the first leg and that meant Barca and PSG combined for a 6-0 score in the first leg and now the second leg matches have lost some excitement, but that doesn't mean both sides will not be playing hard, as Ibrahimovic takes great pride when these games are at home and the club continues a stretch at home after this in their own league when this matchup is over. The team comes in after a win in Ligue 1 against Bastia and coming up the team has a number of tough matches and they are currently in first place by a wide margin on the table in France.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani have been the most consistent scorers for the tea, while Lucas Moura has played well alongside those names and now the team has the chance to advance here. Bayer comes in at third on the Bundesliga table and they are way behind Bayern Munich and so is everyone else and now they are just hoping for a good showing in the match after being embarrassed at home in the first leg.
The schedule for the Champions League started this week with Bayern Munich beating Arsenal and Atletico Madrid dominating AC Milan and now these two matches will play out with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen along with Manchester City and Barcelona and then next week the round of 16 finishes up and that has Chelsea and Galatasaray taking on each other at Stamford Bridge, while Real Madrid will play against Schalke and that comes after the Blues pulled a draw and Real Madrid won their first leg match with the score of six to one and now that will be impossible to overcome in the next match.
