The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are going at it on Wednesday night in a game at the TD Garden at 7:30 pm ET and LeBron James suits up after taking down his former team in Cleveland and the matchup will be streaming live from the NBA.com League Pass website for the eastern conference matchup.
James comes into the game after dropping 43 on the Cavaliers on Tuesday and he has been playing some great ball as of late and is right there in the MVP race with Kevin Durant and he will be looking to continue that on Thursday. The game comes a day after the Knicks introduced Phil Jackson and many have speculated that James could head to the Knicks, but so far that seems like something that will never happen and right now he is concentrating on winning his third straight title.
James and the Heat have a massive challenge in trying to get past the Indiana Pacers, as they have been the best team in the east all season and they are seen as a team that can take down Miami. Last year the eastern conference finals went seven games and Indiana felt that if they had the home game they would have won and that is why they are going so hard after the top seed in the east this season.
The Heat come into the game with a 46-19 record and they are going up against a Celtics team that is nearly the opposite at 22-46 and Miami is looking to continue its strong play, as they are averaging over 100 points per game this season. The team is in the top 10 in scoring and points allowed and they are also ninth in assists. James is leading the team with 27 points per game and he will be the main focus as usual on Wednesday night and as things move into the postseason, which can't come soon enough for Miami.
The Celtics come into the game after a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on the road and they next will play against the Brooklyn Nets and they are looking to just have some positive play as this tough season gets closer to ending. The Celtics knew they would be bad and they come in ranked 27th in scoring and while they are 11th in points allowed, they are scoring four less than that under Brad Stevens. In his first season as head coach, Stevens has done a fine job and now he will work with the front office in the offseason to try and rebuild the team back to where they were a few years ago.
