Richie Incognito Rumors: Miami Dolphins Return Target As Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears Free Agent Options?

Richie Incognito remains a free agent and with Jonathan Martin traded to the San Francisco 49ers, the offensive lineman is hoping for a return to the Miami Dolphins, while teams like the Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions could be options in free agency for the guard.

Incognito was suspended by the Dolphins for his involvement in what happened with Jonathan Martin and after the Ted Wells report it seemed fairly clear that the Dolphins would not want to take him back. According to ESPN.com, Incognito said that he hopes to return to Miami next season and said that he hopes to resume his playing career and while he did get suspended by the team, he added that he always wanted to return even after what happened with Martin.

Incognito checked himself into some medical treatment after dealing with some issues during the offseason after the Wells report was released and now the Dolphins have to decide whether they want to be in the Incognito business. Martin was traded to the 49ers already this month and the Dolphins have been totally reshaping their offensive line after giving up nearly 60 sacks last season. Martin left the team during the season last year and the Wells report showed that he was being honest about the issues regarding Incognito. Incognito may have a hard time finding work, but if he can show that his behavior will change, he could find a place with another team.

James Walker writes for ESPN.com that Incognito will not be coming back to the Dolphins and that there is no chance it will happen after the issues that came up this season. The team is working on adding beef to the line and they signed Branden Albert to be the new left tackle and that should be a huge boost for the line. The team has center Mike Pouncey still and they need to ensure that quarterback Ryan Tannehill has better protection. The rushing attack was weak last season and they ranked 26th in the league with less than 100 yards per game and one of the main focuses for the Dolphins this year is getting the line to protect better.

The Dolphins ranked 20th in passing yards per game last season and the offense went dark over the last two weeks, putting up just seven points as the team tried to make the playoffs. Incognito should be able to get another chance in the NFL if he shows that he has learned from his mistakes and he will have to prove that to teams around the league if he wants to get another chance. The Raiders could be an option, but they already added Austin Howard, while the Bears could use his beef and so could the Detroit Lions. Either way, Incognito likely will not be returning to the Fins.
