The Tottenham Spurs are taking on Benfica in the Europa League third round on Thursday and the matchup is streaming online from the Estadio da Luz and has the Hotspur looking to rebound after a loss against Arsenal and they are hanging in at the top of the Premier League table as the season pushes to the end and the match starts up a 2 pm ET.
The Spurs have a tough schedule to finish the season and they come in after losing to Benfica at home in the first leg match at White Hart Lane and now they must try and get things done away from home on Thursday. Before that match the team lost in bad fashion against Chelsea and that match came at Stamford Bridge, while the team last won over Cardiff City and now to stay in the top five they must get back on track heading into the back stretch of the Premier League schedule.
The team plays against Southampton next and then they have a huge match coming against Liverpool and that will be at the Anfield while they have two of the next three at White Hart Lane with a match against Sunderland. The team continues with West Brom and then they play against Fulham and that will be at home before two road matchups against West Ham United and Stoke City and that comes before the season finale and that will be against Aston Villa and they get the chance to finish the season at home and that will be at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham got past Dnipro in the last round and now they need a great game just for the chance to get past Benfica and that should be tough for the Spurs. The team comes into the weekend at fifth on the Premier League table and Chelsea is first in the EPL standings and they are up over Liverpool and Arsenal and they are tied in points, while Manchester City comes next and they are up over Tottenham and they have three games more to go and that will make it tough and Everton is next on the table under the Spurs and they have two less. The table continues with Manchester United and they have had a tough season and the Spurs need to get back on track to ensure they remain in their qualifying spot and everyone is looking for the Champions League positions.
