DeSean Jackson Trade Rumors: Michael Vick Requests NY Jets Deal, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks Not Interested as Eagles Silent on Wide Receiver Future

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to remain silent on the future of DeSean Jackson, but that is not stopping other teams from expressing interest in acquiring him. Several teams are looking at the wide receiver and could be waiting to see if the Eagles simply release him or not. Jackson is Philadelphia's best offensive producer, so the only way he is leaving the team is by trade. Who could make a move for the playmaker?

Michael Vick is hoping the New York Jets are the team to acquire Jackson. While speaking to the media following his signing with New York, Vick briefly touched on a potential reunion with his former teammate. Jets owner Woody Johnson would only say that New York is considering adding another wide receiver to the roster and Vick is requesting that player be Jackson.

"If there's an opportunity to get DeSean, I'm pretty sure the New York Jets fans would be in favor of that," Vick said, via NFL.com. "But who knows, it takes a lot to make a trade happen (with) all of the intricacies of a contract. It's not for us as players to decide. But hopefully everything will work out for DeSean. If he ends up in New York, we'll be happy, just as happy as he will be. But who knows, you can't say."

Getting Jackson is not easy. The Eagles are reportedly requesting at least a third-round draft pick. Pairing that with Jackson's $10.5 million salary cap hit and the wide receiver is not a cheap acquisition. However, if New York was already planning on drafting another wide receiver to help add depth to the rotation, why not make a move for Jackson?

While several teams are interested in Jackson, there are teams taking themselves off the list. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Oakland Raiders are not interested in making a trade for Jackson. The team already made a move to acquire quarterback Matt Schaub and they are not interested in giving up any more draft picks for players. While they are not looking to make a trade, if Jackson is released the Raiders will try and make a move for him.

The Seattle Seahawks are another team not looking to acquire Jackson. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports the Seahawks are only interested in Jackson if he is released. They team is not willing to give up draft picks in a trade. Of course Jackson would bring an excellent dynamic to the Seahawks offense, but a third round picks appears to be too much for him.
