NBA Draft Outlook: Washington Wizards and Bradley Beal

Jun 17, 2012 02:46 PM EDT

The Washington Wizards will have the third pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. They are projected to pick up the young shooting guard from Florida, Bradley Beal.

Beal possesses speed, which enables him to get into the paint, where he finishes strong.

He is still only 18-years old and just played one season with the Gators where he averaged 14.8 points and 6.7 rebounds a game.

The least appealing part of Beal is his height. At just 6' 3", Beal is about three inches shorter than the conventional shooting guard.

Coaches believe he will still be successful in the NBA because of his work ethic despite facing this disadvantage.

Beal could join a Wizards team that already has some talented young stars.

John Wall runs the team's offense and was seventh in assists during the 2012 season, averaging eight per game.

He finished the season with double-doubles in four out of the last five games.

Another young star in the Wizards' lineup is 22-year old Kevin Ceraphin from France.

He played his first season in the NBA with the Wizards and started 21 games at the center position. He proved he could score as he finished the regular season with 16 straight games scoring in double digits.

Helping these young players is Nene, who came over in the JaVale McGee trade. He is a tough player on the glass and when given an opportunity, can also score.

Beal will be turning 19 on June 28th, which is the day of the NBA Draft. It will be a hell of a celebration for Beal when he hears his name on draft day.
