MLB Opening Day 2014 Scores and Standings: Early Division Leaders and Results For Baseball Games

Nearly every team in baseball has played a game now that Opening Day is complete, with the New York Yankees and Houston Astros still to start and after the scores, results and games were finished on Monday, the Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles are some of the division leaders in the American and National Leagues.

The Orioles took an early lead in the AL East with the Tampa Bay Rays, as they each won their openers against division rivals. Baltimore won at home against the Red Sox, while the Rays won against Toronto, leaving the Yankees at 0-0 until Tuesday, while Boston and the Blue Jays are 0-1 to start the season.

The Central has the White Sox, Detroit Tigers and Indians in first with 1-0 records after their wins on Monday, while the Kansas City Royals and Twins are 0-1 in the bottom of the division. The Royals lost against the Detroit Tigers, while the White Sox took down the Twins and the Indians won against the Atletico.

The Mariners are the lone team in first place in the AL West and they come in after winning against the Angles in their opening game. The team has won eight straight Opening Day games and Felix Hernandez got the win despite a home run from Mike Trout and King Felix ended up with 11 strikeouts in the game and now they have an early lead in the division.

The National, Phillies and Marlins won in the NL East, while the Mets and Braves lost their opening games. The Brewers, Pirates and Cardinals are tops in the Central over the Cubs and Reds, while the Padres and Giants won, leaving the Dodgers 2-1, Colorado 0-1 and the Diamondbacks 0-3 on the season to start.
