Final Four Results and Scores 2014: UConn Huskies Play Kentucky Wildcats After Win Over Florida Gators For National Title Game Monday

Apr 05, 2014 09:36 PM EDT

The Final Four results and scores for 2014 saw UConn win over the Florida Gators, with the Connecticut Huskies taking a 63-53 victory to send UF home and to send the team into the national title game and they will play against the winner of the Kentucky Wildcats and Wisconsin Badgers game on Monday night and that game is on the schedule from CBS.

Florida came into the game with a 30-game winning streak and amazingly enough, UConn was the last team to beat the Gators during the season and now they have the chance to win their second championship in just a handful of years and one reason has been the play of Shabazz Napier. The team now advances to the title game and they held Florida back and there was a stretch late in the game when Napier and the Huskies seemingly could not miss a shot and the Gators couldn't get back into things.

Patric Young finished with 19 points and five rebounds for the Gators, while DeAndre Daniels helped with 20 points, 10 rebounds and one steal with a block for the Huskies and they outscored the Gators by seven points in the final quarter after doing it by three in the first half. The Huskies shot nearly 60 percent from the field and Daniels hit three pointers down the stretch to keep things going and Florida could not hit a three all night, putting in just one out of 10 from long range and now they are heading home.

The tournament now has all four number one seeds out and UConn is into the championship game as a number seven seed after coming out of the east region. Florida, Virginia, Wichita State and Arizona all lost and now the Huskies are into the title game.
