The Miami Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 91-85 in NBA Finals Game 3 Sunday night at Miami’a American Airlines Arena. Heat is at an advantage over Thunder now, winning two games and losing one.
LeBron James did his due, scoring 29 points with 14 rebounds. Dwyane Wade added 25 points and 7 rebounds for the team, and Chris Bosh ended with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
“It was good to see us execute down the stretch, but more importantly it was great to see that we were able to get stops,” James said.
“That’s where the game is won and we did that.”
For the Thunder, their number one star Kevin Durant scored 25 points, still highest in their team, but had to sit on the bench for the fourth quarter because of fouls. Russel Westbrook had 19 points, and Kendrick Perkin got 10 points and the 12 rebounds, which was the most rebounds for Thunder.
The young Thunder were frustrated by fouls Sunday night, sent the Heat a big gift of 35 free throws, and Miami didn’t nagged the chance. Heat made 31 of the 35 shots. On the contrary, Thunder only scored 15 points from their 24 free throw chances.
The Heat has a 2-1 lead now, but better not let their guard down. They also had a 2-1 lead at last year’s Champion Series, but lost 3 games straight afterwards. The Game 4 will happen on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. ET in Miami.
