The LA Angels and the Houston Astros are playing on Monday in an MLB game as they finish a series at Minute Maid Park and Los Angeles comes into the matchup after a loss and they are looking to get back on track before facing the Mariners in their home opener and the game starts up at 2:10 pm ET and is streaming from the MLB.com website.
The Angels got swept by the Mariners to start the season and that was an inauspicious beginning and it was the first time the team was hit in three games by Seattle in LA in a decade and now they are looking to climb back, as they open a series against the M's at Safeco coming up this week. Scott Feldman improved to 2-0 with the win against LA and now CJ Wilson comes in after losing his first start and he will face off against Jared Cosart, who started with a win against the Yankees and it comes before the Mariners throw rookie James Paxton against the Angels after his strong debut.
The team comes in ranked 11th in runs scored so far this season and they are 2-4 and fifth in the AL west for the time being and they will be looking to get rolling this week before heading back home after the Mariners series. Mike Trout has been off to a solid start and this comes after he blasted a home run earlier last week against Felix Hernandez, although the Mariners were able to pull out that game.
The Astros come in after a 7-4 win against the Angels and now they are getting ready for a series against the Toronto Blue Jays and that well begin on Tuesday and will be away at the Rogers Centre. The team has played solid to start the year and they are 3-3 after playing the Angels and Yankees and that is an improvement from the way the Astros played last season and while they know they will be bad, manager Bo Porter has the team playing like they are a playoff squad and that could make things tough for opponents on the schedule all season.
