Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are playing in the UEFA Champions League Quarter-finals on Tuesday and the second leg match starts up at 2:45 pm ET and is streaming from the FOX Soccer 2Go website and comes as the Blues need to win this football game after falling in the opener against PSG and now Jose Mourinho and company will try and turn things around at home at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea comes into the match after a win in the Premier League last weekend against Stoke city and that came after the loss away against PSG and that came in the first leg at the Parc des Princes and now a comeback will be very difficult. The team had lost their previous match away at Crystal Palace and that was the first time that had happened in years, but now the Blues return to Stamford Bridge, where they have been very successful this year and on top of that, Mourinho has not lost there this season and the club could get a boost, as striker Samuel Eto'o could return for the team after dealing with a hamstring issue.
The team now needs to get back a two goal deficit in the match and while that is not impossible, it will be very difficult to get done on Tuesday. Chelsea is looking to keep things going and this would be the seventh time the team has made it to the final four for the semifinals over the past decade and that would be huge for Mourinho and company as they push towards the top of the Premier League table as well. The team is now in second place in the EPL standings and that comes after Liverpool was able to jump ahead with the loss to CP and now the match coming up in a few weeks at Anfield has all the makings of a classic.
The Blues have been playing well at home all season and they were at the top of the league table for quite some time before getting knocked off by Liverpool and now the two sides will battle and that could end up being for the Premier League title. Chelsea has a match next with Swansea City and then the team hosts Sunderland before the matchup with Liverpool at Anfield and that comes before the final game against Norwich City at Stamford Bridge and they end the season on the road against Cardiff City.
PSG comes in ready for a Chelsea attack and Zlatan Ibrahimovic said the team will not take their lead lightly and that means it could be a tough match on both sides on Tuesday. Frank Lampard is pushing the team to be smart and aggressive and Chelsea is hoping to have a boost from Eto'o and that comes after he has missed the last three matches and with Ramires out and Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah not playing, the team needs all legs on deck for the matchup. Chelsea has performed well in the Champions League over the last decade and now they are trying to stay alive as they battle for the top of the Premier League table at home.
