Washington Redskins Rumors: RG3 Excited About DeSean Jackson, Calls Out Mike Shanahan As Bradley Roby, Allen Robinson, Jordan Matthews Draft Targets After Rams Trade?

The Washington Redskins are heading into a very important season in 2014 with a new head coach and RG3 has already expressed his excitement about DeSean Jackson and Jay Gruden and he has also taken swipes at Mike Shanahan as the draft gets closer and the team could look to take a receiver in the second round like Allen Robinson, Jordan Matthews or Kelvin Benjamin and this comes after the team traded its first round pick to the Rams.

The Redskins obviously are happy with the Robert Griffin III deal, I mean, the guy has his own logo so he must be amazing, but it does hurt to not have a first round pick in a draft like this. The Redskins had the number two pick in this draft after going just 3-13 last season and now that belongs to the Rams after the Griffin trade and that means Gruden will be looking towards the second round for his first pick. ESPN.com speculates that the team will go after a receiver, but after signing Jackson that could change.

SI.com mocked that the Redskins could look at a corner and someone like Bradley Roby from Ohio State could be an option as well. The Redskins had plenty of struggles last season and now that Gruden is taking over, Griffin said that he is excited to get started and is happy that his coach "supports" his players, which is clearly a shot at his past coach. Griffin and Shanahan never got along, but Griffin has attitude issues that he acts like are not there, but now that Gruden is coming in, Griffin is ready to go.

Jackson should make the offense more explosive and it could help open up the running game even more with Alfred Morris, who helped the team rank fifth in the NFL last season in rushing yards per game. The team ranked 16th in passing yards per game and the defense was up and down, ranking 20th in passing yards per game and 17th in rushing yards allowed.
