Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers Live Stream: Watch Online MLB Streaming Game

Apr 16, 2014 07:56 PM EDT

The Seattle Mariners and the Texas Rangers are playing on the MLB schedule on Wednesday night and the game has a great starting matchup with Felix Hernandez and Yu Darvish on the mound and that has aces going against each other and the matchup will be streaming from the MLB.com website as the M's bring back Nick Franklin from the minors at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The Mariners have slowed down since starting the season 3-0, but they have been playing better than expected and now they will have Hernandez on the mound and Franklin back in the lineup after he was sent down to the minors to start the season after the team signed Robinson Cano and picked Brad Miller to start at short. Franklin was pulled out of his game for Tacoma and the team made the move with Logan Morrison hitting the DL and also because Franklin has been tearing it up in the minors and the Mariners bats have gone quiet.

The team is thrilled to have Hernandez back on the mound, as the team is looking for him to win his fourth start in as many games as he has pitched in and that would give him the mark for the first time since Jered Weaver won his first four starts for the Angels in 14 games. Hernandez has been amazing this season and he could finally put himself in position to win 20 games for the first time in career, as he should have done this already, but his team did not support him runs wise many times in the past and now he is 3-0 after his first three starts and he has a 2.11 ERA and has just been filthy, striking out 30 batter already.

Hernandez has dominated the A's in his career and he did it again in his last start, getting the win over Oakland and he allowed only two runs and struck out 11 batters. The Mariners lineup looks a bit different on Wednesday and it has Abraham Almonte in the leadoff spot and he will be ahead of Brad Miller at short, while Robinson Cano is next at second base and he is followed along with Kyle Seager, Michael Saunders, Nick franklin at DH, Justin Smoak and Dustin Ackley ahead of Mike Zunino at catcher.

Hernandez faces off against another ace in Darvish, who was a Cy Young finalist last season and he has been stellar to start the season, putting up seven hits in seven innings and getting the win against Tampa and he also was solid while giving up one hit and allowing no runs against Houston. Darvish and Hernandez tried to downplay the matchup early in the day, but these two easily could be battling for the Cy Young this year.

The Mariners have dropped off offensively after starting the season well and they are now 20th in runs and 27th in batting average, but they remain in second place in the AL West. Erasmo Ramirez will start the game on Thursday and that is an afternoon game and the pitching comes in ranked in the top 10 in major categories, coming in fourth in ERA< 10th in quality starts, third in WHIP and first in batting average against.
