Apr 27, 2014 03:27 PM EDT

The LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors are playing game 4 of their NBA playoffs series on Sunday and the comes after owner Donald Sterling and his comments in Los Angeles in an TMZ recording that were racist and that adds some drama to the game, as Chris Paul and Blake Griffin tip off at 3:30 pm ET and it comes as the Clips are up 2-1 with the game coming from Oracle Arena and streaming live online from ABC and ESPN.

Doc Rivers was out front and center after the comments and so was Paul as the head of the players union and while the players and everyone else in the league were not happy with the comments, the Clippers know they have a game to play. The Clippers come in after taking the lead in the series in game 3 and they won by two points and they had Blake Griffin with 32 points and DeAndre Jordan grabbed 22 rebounds, while Chris Paul had 10 assists and now the team will not have Sterling at the game on Sunday and he likely will not be attending the game on Tuesday in Los Angeles as well.

The Clippers come into the playoffs while averaging 107 points per game and they were also ranked in the top 10 in assists per game and they were ranked 14th in points allowed and 14th in rebounds per game this season as well. The whole situation with Sterling will take over a bit for the Clippers and the NBA and it has overshadowed what has been going on in the playoffs a bit and the first round has been wildly, exciting, including the Mavericks, who won after an amazing three pointer finish from Vince Carter and now they are up 3-1 and the Spurs are in danger of losing as the number one seed.

The Warriors come in after getting 26 points from Klay Thompson and they also got 11 rebounds from Draymond Green and Stephen Curry had 15 assists in the game and now they are trying to avoid going down 3-1 in the series. Golden State comes into the playoffs at 10th in the league in scoring on offense and defense and they have a crucial matchup here before heading into the matchup on Tuesday at the Staples Center.

Clippers players along with Magic Johnson, LeBron James and many other players have come out to denounce the comments and now the teams have to play on Sunday against each other with that on the Clips players minds. Griffin is leading the way in scoring for the players the Clippers are looking to get the lead in the series.
