The NFL draft is coming and that means trade rumors about teams moving up for players like Jadeveon Clowney, Khalil Mack, Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans and Johnny Manziel as the draft date gets closer and teams like the Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings could be interested in making moves up in the top 10 to get the players they want.
Heading into the draft the trade talk has been about the number two pick in the draft with the Rams, as they got that from the Redskins and a number of teams have been interested into moving into that spot. According to ESPN.com, the Bills are a team that may look to move up, as they are interested in Watkins, Mike Evans and Khalil Mack, while Eric Ebron could be a sleeper option for the team as well. The team picks at number nine and that could be out of reach for some of those top players, with Greg Robinson and Taylor Lewan as options as well.
The top of the draft is deep with talent this season and those names are expected to go in the top 10 and the Vikings are interested in taking one of those players as well. The team may move up from that and if the quarterbacks go in the first seven picks, that would be perfect for both of those teams. The Cleveland Browns could take Blake Bortles if he is there, while the team is also interested in Watkins and he is a name that is getting a ton of attention. According to ESPN.com, the Detroit Lions are also looking to move up to get Watkins and that could be an option for the speedy Clemson receiver as well.
Last season the Bills went 6-10 and they need some upgrades on offense. The team was ranked second in the league in rushing but they were 28th in the league in passing yards per game and that is one reason they are looking at Watkins.
The Bills actually could look to trade back as well, as they dealt with Mike Williams this offseason and they have just six picks in the draft. The team has the number 9 and number 41 overall selections and one in each of the first five rounds and one in the seventh and Doug Marrone could look to get some more picks if the players they want are taken by the time they draft by trading out of the top 10.
The Vikings are set up fairly well in doing what they want at number eight, as they have eight draft picks and two of those are in the third round. This year those picks are very valuable with a deep draft and they could use that to their advantage and they also have that number eight pick and they could look to trade back or up depending on how the first five picks go. The team is likely avoiding a quarterback and they could go defense with their pick.
