The Kings have won two games in a row after losing the first three to open the series and that also included an overtime loss in Game 3 and while LA is the team down, San Jose has had plenty of leads blown in the past and that could come into play again. The Sharks have collapsed multiple times over the years and they are looking to eliminate the Kings on Monday night in LA and the Staples Center has this matchup before Game 5 on Tuesday in the LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors series in the NBA. Jeff Carter and Marian Gaborik have been playing well for the Kings and now they have some momentum going after winning the last two matchups and Jonathan Quick comes in with two wins and a shutout in the series and he will need to be on the top of his game.
The Kings shutout the Sharks on Saturday in San Jose and they are looking to win their third straight game in the series and they come in first in the league from the season in goals against with Quick and that is what they need for the series. The team is going to have to shutdown Patrick Marleau for a chance to win and he is leading the team with seven points and three goals for the Sharks, while Dan Boyle is tops in assists. Jeff Carter has five points and Gaborik has three goals in the series and the Kings just need to win one more game to get the series to a game 7.
The Penguins and the Blue Jackets finished their series and on Tuesday the Rangers and the Flyers will play Game 6 and if the Flyers win there will be a game 7 the very next day. The Wild and the Avalanche can finish their series, while the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens already have their series set in the next round. The Kings won the Cup a couple years ago and last year's winner the Chicago Blackhawks won four straight games against the Blues and they have the team their name feeling after making that comeback and now the champs are alive and they have plenty of momentum after winning four games in a row.
