The NBA playoffs standings and schedule has the Miami Heat in the second round and waiting for the Brooklyn Nets or Toronto Raptors to finish their series in the first round in the eastern conference and the Big 3 of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade advanced over the Charlotte Bobcats after a 4-0 sweep and now they can rest as the postseason plays out.

The Heat won Game 4 109-98 against the Bobcats and they got 31 points from James and nine assists, while Bosh led the way with eight rebounds. The team was outscored in the final quarter but they were able to push ahead for the win after building their lead with a fantastic third quarter, putting up nearly double the amount of points as Charlotte, who now are eliminated after Kemba Walker scored 29 points in the game. Walker was impressive during the series and he has a bit of star quality and could be a potential building block for the new Hornets.

The Miami Heat and LeBron James know what it takes to win a championship and they were the only team in the first round to sweep their opponent. The Charlotte Bobcats played well in the series and they nearly won a couple of the games, but by the end they were just simply no match for James and the Big 3 and now the franchise name will die without ever getting a playoff win. Next season they will be the Hornets and now the Miami Heat are resting up as they wait for the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors series to finish and that could give the team the edge in the next round.

The Heat ended up in the second seed in the east after losing out to the Indiana Pacers and that ended up being a pretty fortunate development, as the Atlanta Hawks have been giving the Pacers fits and now they are up 3-2 in the series. The game on Monday saw the Hawks hold on after having a 30-point lead in the game and Paul George led the way for Indy with 26 points and 12 rebounds. The Hawks got some great play from Michael scott in the second quarter and Shelvin Mack was tops in scoring with 20 points and now the Hawks are one win away from advancing to the next round and pulling off a massive upset.

The Pacers played all season to get the top seed over Miami and now the team is in danger of losing the series and that could be one of the biggest upsets ever in the playoffs. Miami will be rested no matter what happens in the other series and now the team could be primed for another title run.
