The NBA playoffs standings has the Los Angeles Clippers up 3-2 after their win against the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of their western conference series and now Game 6 will be in Oakland on Thursday night and LA has the advantage after the whirlwind week involving their owner Donald Sterling and now Doc Rivers, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin have the chance to close things out amid all the chaos.

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin led the way with DeAndre Jordan as the Clippers won the game and now they have a 3-2 advantage heading into the sixth game of the series. The Clippers had a wild day and weekend and they looked energized and ready to win after everything that happened. Doc Rivers had his team ready and reports said the players were ready to boycott had the response not been correct.

DeAndre Jordan had a great game for the Clippers and he had a double-double with over 20 points heading into the final minutes of the game, while Chris Paul led the team in assists. The Clippers only lost seven games at home at the Staples Center in LA and now the arena has become a safe haven again after the decision by the NBA, as the fans have totally embraced the team during the series and the scandal. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green each had solid performances in the game and now the series shifts to Oakland and the team is looking to repeat the performance from Game 4.

The Clippers started off the game aggressively and they led by 10 into the second quarter before Golden State made a bit of a comeback and the Clippers took the lead into halftime. The series took a wild turn over the weekend with the release of the Donald Sterling audio clips and that put the Clippers in a very tough situation and many thought that was the reason why the team lost in Game 4. The NBA came out strong on Sterling and NBA commissioner Adam Silver banned him for life from the team and now things obviously will have to get worked out regarding the ownership of the franchise.

The Memphis Grizzlies won against the Oklahoma City Thunder after the fourth overtime game of that series and things were close at the end but Kevin Durant couldn't sink the final shot. The end of the game was odd, as a referee totally interrupted Durant on the foul line after making the first of two free throw attempts, taking the ball away aggressively and then stopping play to yell at the scorers table before having Durant shoot again.

Durant had the chance to tie things up, but he clearly was taken out of his rhythm and he ended up missing it and then after getting the ball back Durant missed a three. The Thunder had the chance to get a tip in at the end of the game that appeared to win it at the buzzer, but the refs looked at the video and ruled that the shot was no good. Now the series returns to Memphis and has the team up 3-2 and they have the chance to eliminate the Thunder for the second year in a row.
