NBA Playoff Standings 2014: Hawks Go For Indiana Pacers 4-2 Series Win In Atlanta With Clippers and Warriors Game 6

May 01, 2014 10:28 AM EDT

The NBA playoffs standings has the Atlanta Hawks leading the Indiana Pacers 3-2 in their series and with a win on Thursday in Game 6 they can take the series 4-2, while the LA Clippers and Warriors are playing in the same position and Los Angeles can end the series and advance as they are dealing with the Donald Sterling situation and the third game on the schedule has the Memphis Grizzlies playing the OKC Thunder up 3-2.

The Clippers have been playing with a ton of distractions coming at them and they were able to win the game on Tuesday to get the series at 3-2 and now they head to Oakland for Game 6 and that could close things out for the team. The Blazers could have been the first to advance and now the Memphis Grizzlies and Clippers are the next ones in the west with a chance to advance, while the Hawks can join the Miami Heat and Washington Wizards in the second round with a win. The loss for the Pacers would be profound and historic and after their late season collapse, it could totally take over the team and Frank Vogel could end up out of a job if they fall to the eighth seed in the east. Roy Hibbert has been invisible and now the team has to pull together to try and get a win in Atlanta and with the way the Hawks have played, Indy will have to be on top of their game on Thursday night.

The Clippers are Warriors game will be very interesting to watch and history could be made for the Pacers, who play at 7 pm on NBATV, while the other games are at 8 pm and 10:30 pm ET in the TNT doubleheader.

On Wednesday night, the Houston Rockets remained alive with a solid game against the Blazers and that finally didn't go into overtime and now that series will have a Game 6 and that will be in Portland after Game 5 was in Houston. Dwight Howard had 22 points and Wesley Matthews had 27 for the Blazers and now those two teams will battle and a Game 7 could be in the works. The Nets wanted the Raptors in the first round and now they may regret losing to get into that series, as they now are down 3-2 and are looking tired and lost.

The Nets came back from a 20-point deficit in the game on Wednesday, but they now are down 3-2 and it could be very tough for the team to come back. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are old and tired, while Deron Williams has been mostly left to take care of things and while Joe Johnson had 30 points, the team could not overcome the young Raptors and now they are in danger of getting eliminated.

The Mavericks and Spurs played and now San Antonio is up 3-2 in that series after Tony Parker had 23 points, while Vince Carter had 28 for the Mavs. The Spurs are now in control after going down 2-1 in that series.
