Donald Sterling is banned from the NBA for life and now rumors say the Clippers owner has prostate cancer and on top of that, a new report from the AP writes that it was not his girlfriend V. Stiviano that released the racists audio tapes, but a friend did it and leaked it to TMZ and that started the whole process of getting Sterling out of the NBA.
According to the NY Post, Sterling has been dealing with the cancer diagnosis for some time and the report from the paper started off with a terrible line and now a report from the AP has details about the release of the audio tape. The report says the friend has not been identified and that an attorney representing Stiviano confirmed that the friend had the tape of the argument, which was made in September and that they were released without permission.
The report says that two audio snippets were given to the friend to keep safe in case anything happened to her and now Stiviano is in the middle of things and she did not ask for the tapes to be released. Stiviano is dealing with a case from Sterling's wife about gifts he lavished upon her and now Sterling is also dealing with getting pushed out of the NBA and this could be a long process if he decides to fight it. Stiviano has been described as a girlfriend and while the tapes were intimate sounding at times, she officially was Sterling's archivist and now that has come back to bite him.
Sterling was banned from the NBA for life and fined millions and now he could fight the case in court. The NY Post report says that Sterling has had the cancer for some time and that mediation has helped him deal with it over the past couple years.
