The Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets are playing Game 6 on the NBA playoffs schedule on Friday night and the matchup from the Moda Center is on ESPN and starts up at 10:30 pm ET and streaming online from the WatchESPN website and it has the Blazers up 3-2 in the series and they can close things out with a win and that would put the team into the second round of the postseason.
The Blazers were up 3-1 in the series before losing Game 5 and now the team has to close things out in Game 6 or they will have to deal with another road trip for Game 7, as that will be at the Toyota Center. Damian Lillard has shown why he was rookie of the year last season and now the Blazers have the chance to show why they were one of the best teams in the league this season. Dwight Howard wants to get into the next round to keep his first season with Houston going strong, but the Blazers will be a tough team to beat.
The Rockets need Howard and the rest of the team to step up and Chandler Parsons could be the key, as he has been an x-factor before and with Harden struggling the past couple games, he needs to step up as well. The NBA schedule for Saturday is historic, as all the series are into Game 7 and that has never happened with three games on one night in the playoffs before in the league. The same thing could play out again depending on the earlier games, but either way, Saturday will be a crazy night of games and things start off with the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers and that will be at Bankers Life Fieldhouse before the Memphis OKC game and it starts up at 5:30 pm ET and will be on TV and streaming from TNT.
The Pacers have the chance to avoid a terrible upset, as they are the number one seed in the eastern conference playoffs, while the Hawks are the eighth seed. Atlanta was able to steal Game 1 and they looked great in Game 5 and they had the chance to close things out in Game 6, but David West pushed Indy through and now the series is tied 3-3 heading into the final matchup. Roy Hibbert has been invisible and Paul George has been solid over the past two games and now the future of the team could hang in the balance with this result.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are hoping to avoid a second straight series defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies in the playoffs and they forced a Game 7 with a win at the Fed Ex and now they have the chance to close things out at home. Kevin Durant rebounded from a rough game and now he has his team looking to get past the Grizz as the second seed and that game starts up at 8 pm on TNT. The final Game 7 of the night has the Clippers and the Warriors and that comes after Golden State's close win in Game 6 and now the Clips are looking to lock things up at home at the Staples Center, which has become a big spot for the team with their fans after the Sterling scandal.
