LA Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Live Stream: Watch Online NBA Playoffs Streaming Game

May 05, 2014 09:37 PM EDT

The LA Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder are playing on the NBA playoffs second round schedule on Monday and the Game 1 matchup comes from Chesapeake Energy Arena and starts up at 9:30 pm ET on TV from TNT and has a live stream online as Chris Paul and Kevin Durant battle for the series looking to take an early 1-0 lead after both sides dealt with Game 7 matchups in the first round.

Chris Paul comes into the game beat up and he will star for the Clippers, while Hedo Turkoglu will be out and the entire team is dealing with adversity as they try to pull through with the whole Donald Sterling situation still not resolving itself totally yet after the lifetime ban. Paul has been beat up all series and he is dealing with injuries to his right hamstring and right thumb and that will not keep him from starting this very important game, while Kevin Durant comes in poised to win the MVP award, as that is expected to get announced on Tuesday and there could be a ceremony before the game on Wednesday night.

Durant has finished second to LeBron James in voting before and now he gets the chance to win an award of his own and it comes after he averaged 32 points to lead the league this season and he also had to play a large chunk without his right-hand man in Russell Westbrook. The Thunder had another very good season and they ended up as the second seed in the west and now they are looking to advance to the west conference finals for the first time since they won it and made it to the finals against LeBron James a couple years ago. The team won Game 7 in the first round against the Memphis Grizzlies and that came after the Grizz upset the team in the playoffs last season when they had to play without Russell Westbrook.

The Clippers had to overcome a ton in their series and while they have been able to focus on basketball now that Donald Sterling has been banned for life, there is still plenty left to shake out and Doc Rivers has tried to keep things on the court for the team. The Game 4 matchup against the Warriors was an impossible situation and the team had no chance of winning and they were able to rebound to win the next game and two of the last three to advance into the second round after getting eliminated in the playoffs last season.

Durant will have some momentum with the way he played at the end of the Grizzlies series, while the Clippers have to be thrilled with the way DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin played down the stretch. Griffin scored 24 points in the final game of the series against the Warriors, while Jordan led the way with 18 rebounds and multiple blocks and Paul ended up with 14 assists and that put the team through. Durant had over 30 points once again and while the team was aided by the absence of Zach Randolph, they still had to go out and win the game. The second game of the series comes on Monday and the team plays on the same day of the schedule that has the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers.
