Seattle Seahawks Rumors: Mock Draft Targets Kelvin Benjamin, Jace Amaro, Cyrus Kouandjio, Gabe Jackson, Carlos Hyde As Doug Baldwin Signs?

The Seattle Seahawks are coming into the NFL draft as Super Bowl champions and with the number 32 pick in the first round the team has a chance to add an impact player in a class this deep and names like Kelvin Benjamin, Cyrus Kouandjio, Gabe Jackson, Allen Robinson, Jace Amaro, Carlos Hyde and Brandin Cooks could be potential options, especially if Doug Baldwin opts to not sign his free agent tender offer.

The Seahawks come into the draft with seven picks and they traded one for Terrelle Pryor, who they see as a quarterback for now and a backup to Russell Wilson and they have two fifth round picks for the draft this year. ESPN.com blogger Terry Blount writes that the Seahawks could go after an offensive lineman with their first round pick, while Peter King at the MMQB.com speculated that the team will take whoever they see as the most talanted player on their board at the end of the first round.

Xavier Su'a-Filo and Morgan Moses are potential options at number 32, while Blount picks names like Cyrus Kouandjio and Gabe Jackson as well as David Yankey as potential picks from the offensive line. Baldwin has still not yet signed his tender and with Golden Tate moving to the Detroit Lions, the Seahawks are expected to address the wide receiver position at some point. The position is very deep this year and if someone like Benjamin slides to the Seahawks, they could easily pick him with his size, which would make him a great red zone threat for Russell Wilson and he comes in after catching 15 touchdowns with Florida State last season. The team signed Sidney Rice in the offseason and while he will give the team some depth at the position, he hasn't been fully healthy in a couple years and that should worry John Schnieder with Wilson coming off of a championship win.

The Seahawks have had a very solid offseason and they signed Earl Thomas to a four year deal worth over $40 million and they could still have some more deals on the way. Thomas has established himself as one of the best young safeties in the league and he will not even be 30 years old when the contract is up. Baldwin is an important piece for the Seahawks and he stepped up with Tate after Rice went down with an injury and he had 50 catches for 778 yards while nearly matching the stats from his rookie season, which was the best of his career.
