Washington Redskins Rumors: Kirk Cousins Trade To Texans, Oakland Raiders Possible As Marqise Lee, Cyrus Kouandjio, Joel Bitonio Day 2 Targets?

The Washington Redskins have their first pick in the draft on Day 2 and after rebuffing a trade with Kirk Cousins to the Cleveland Browns, the team could look to trade him to the Houston Texans or Oakland Raiders if they get an offer and some second or third round targets for the team include names like Marqise Lee, Cyrus Kouandjio, Joel Bitonio and Morgan Moses.

The Redskins have a number of needs and while wideout is not a glaring one with DeSean Jackson in the fold, taking Lee could be a solid option since he was considered to be a first round talent. The 49ers may have traded up to get Lee, but after getting Stevie Johnson in a deal with the Bills for a fourth round pick, it clearly isn't happening now. The Redskins have a chance to add picks in the draft with trades and they could look to move down or deal Cousins for a pick.

According to ESPN.com, the Redskins turned down a fourth round pick for Cousins with the Cleveland Browns and that means they are looking for a second round pick or a third to get a deal done. Earlier in the season Cousins said he would be okay with a trade and after signing Colt McCoy, it looked like the Redskins at least would shop him at the draft. ESPN.com and NFL.com write that a Cousins trade still could be in the cards for the Redskins and teams like the Houston Texans and the Oakland Raiders could be fits if they pass up on quarterbacks in Day 2, with names like Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo out there to be had along with AJ McCarron.

The Redskins have needs on both sides of the ball after going 3-13 last season and trading Cousins could be a solid option, as they do not have many draft picks this year after making the RG3 deal. The team has no regrets in that regard, but since this draft is a deep one, they could use to get some picks back and they could get at least one selection with a Cousins trade.

ESPN.com writes that the Redskins likely will look at the offensive line for their second round pick if they don't trade it and there is a nice stable of players available, including Moses and Bitonio, who has shown versatility and athleticism at the tackle position. Lee would have been a top 10 pick had he come out before last season and the fact that he is in the second round makes him an option purely because of value.

The Texans may look at drafting a QB over Cousins, but he has shown that he can handle playing in the league even with a limited amount of action and that could lead to a trade.
