Portuguese champions FC Porto insist they have not received any offers for their Brazilian striker Hulk.
Chelsea were reported to be the frontrunners for the 25-year-old's signature with a move understood to be imminent. Several reports had claimed that personal terms had already been agreed between Hulk and Chelsea and it was just a matter of time before the striker would move to Stamford Bridge for a reported fee of £38 million ($60 million).
However, recent reports emerged saying Chelsea were facing stiff competition from moneybags Paris St Germain for the highly-rated striker's signature. PSG are backed by rich Qatari owners, who have already funded moves of high-profile players like Javier Pastore and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Porto president Pinto da Costa, however, came out and poured cold water on all rumors, saying they have not received any official bid from any club for Hulk. "At the moment, Porto have not been contacted by any club to discuss the sale of our player," da Costa said.
"There are no offers on the table.
"That is the truth, despite what the papers say about Chelsea and PSG. Those stories are simply rumors. If you believe what they say, Hulk has already left us."
It is understood Hulk has told Porto about his preference to move to Chelsea and the striker had come out and publicly expressed his desire to link up with the European champions earlier this week. "Chelsea are the current European champions and would please any player and I'm no exception," Hulk told O Jogo.
"I'd be happy if the transfer happened. I leave everything in the hands of Porto.
"I am under contract and I have been happy at Porto for four years, where I have achieved everything.
"I'll have the club in my heart no matter what happens this summer or in any other summer."
