Rookie of the Year Award, he has that
Scoring title, he has one of those too.
All-Star MVP, he has two.
NBA MVP awards, he's got three.
He is an 8-time All-Star.
Most recently, NBA Finals MVP. Yes ladies and gentleman, LeBron James is a champion.
Don't mean to sound too medieval, but you can now kiss thy majesty's ring.
James finally captured the championship that evaded him for eight of his nine years in the league.
The Miami Heat defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 in a game that was not a competition half way into the third quarter.
This was probably a good thing since fans had their nerves tested for three straight games.
LeBron finished the night with a triple-double, proving that he is an all-around great player. He finished the game with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists. James was only 3 points away from scoring 700 in a playoff, a feat not accomplished by many.
What is there left for LeBron to do? Capture another championship maybe?
They said the first championship is always the toughest one, well for some.
After the game was over, Magic Johnson and the ESPN analysts said that since LeBron captured his first, there is no limit to where the star's talents could take him.
They focused mainly on the fact that he knows how to post up and score down low. James added this weapon to his scoring arsenal, making him twice as difficult to defend.
The Thunder saw this first hand, since James is not only a good scoring, but a great passer.
When Oklahoma City double-teamed James, he kicked it out to the open player, who was usually standing behind the three-point line.
Because of LeBron's ability to attract defenders, Mike Miller was open and he did not let this opportunity go to waste.
He knocked down 7 of his 8 threes and finished the night with 23 points.
LeBron James is not only a great player, but he makes others around him better.
On the night that LeBron won his first championship, he could not emphasize enough how it was a team effort that made this victory possible.
The Heat had six players in double figures. Aside from Miller and James, Chris Bosh had 24, Dwyane Wade added 20, Shane Battier had 11 and Mario Chalmers finished with 10.
Despite the blowout, LeBron kept it classy. He ordered Chalmers to stop making the crowd cheer as they were still in the third quarter. Then at the end of the game he showed Kevin Durant a lot of love on the court after the buzzer.
Now that he is a champion, the chip is no longer on James' shoulder.
The league better be ready to contend with what LeBron James brings next year.
They say once you get the sweet taste of the trophy, you come back hungry from more.
