The Barclays English Premier League table standings saw Manchester City finish on top for the final results as the trophy winners for 2013-14 over Liverpool and Chelsea and that came after the team won 2-0 against West Ham at Etihad Stadium and that clinched the EPL title trophy for the team for the second time in three years and it came after the Reds and Blues each blew chances down the stretch of the season to take hold in the standings.
This was a much easier road to the title compared to when the team won over Man United with two late goals to win on goal difference back in 2012 and now the team is at the top of the league again and it came after Samir Nasri added a goal in the second half before Vincent Kompany scored and the team delivered on his promise of the title. The team knew they were the favorites to win the title and that was due to the fact that they only needed a point to win, but they didn't allow it to get that close. Liverpool had chances at the end of the season, but they needed too much to happen at the end to get the title for the first time in over 20 years.
Liverpool had an own goal in the game from Martin Skrtel and the team got scores from Daniel Agger and Daniel Sturridge just two minutes apart in the second half and that locked the team into the number two position on the league table. The team was not able to get the championship this year despite Luis Suarez leading the league in goals and Arsenal finished with Chelsea next on the table and the Gunners are playing in the FA Cup final against Hull City next week.
The Gunners won over Norwich at Carrow Road and they got a 2-0 win and sent the team to relegation and Aaron Ramsey finished his strong season with a goal and now they have some momentum coming into the championship. Chelsea made a comeback against Cardiff and they have the third position after faltering down the stretch and they had chances to win the league table as well.
