Aaron Hernandez is back in the news and the latest rumors and development has the Patriots tight end indicted for a double murder that occurred in 2012 and now a press conference will be held Thursday to discuss the new developments in the case and that will be live at 11:30 am about the double murder and the two men, Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado, were killed in a drive by.
The news was reported by the Boston Globe and comes after Hernandez was arrested a year ago after the murder of Odin Lloyd. After news came out about that, police looked back at the double murder and now that drive by could bring more charges for Hernandez. The police have evidence and while that is not known yet, that could be disclosed at the press conference and this comes as the investigators picked up speed in the investigation after finding a car connected to the murder in a house connected to Hernandez.
The investigation in this case could be connected back to the Lloyd case, as police speculated for some time that the Lloyd murder may come from the knowledge he had about this double murder. Hernandez is charged with first degree murder for Lloyd and there is a chance that he knew about this murder and Hernandez's involvement and that is a reason why Lloyd could have been killed. The charge for this case will come after the Lloyd case and it is in a separate country for the Lloyd case and this could be a second trial for the double murder after his original trial.
Hernandez now is charged with three murders and that could make his defense even harder and while he has money for a defense, this could take a very long time. Aaron Hernandez will be back in court on Wednesday in Fall River for the next step in his murder case after being arraigned in superior court last month and this hearing will include pretrial issues and possibly another request for bail.
Hernandez is back in court after last appearing on September 6 and at that appearance he was officially arraigned in superior court in Fall River on the charges of murdering Odin Lloyd. Hernandez is charged with first degree murder in the case as well as five other gun charges and there is also a chance he could be connected to another crime from Boston last year, as a man said he recognized the former Patriots tight end as the shooter in a double murder from last summer. Hernandez has pled not guilty to all the charges against him at his court appearance in September and his lawyers have argued that the case is circumstantial.
