The St. Louis Cardinals swept the Atlanta Braves in their first series of the season. The Braves were in the midst of a losing streak, failing to produce anything at the plate and while they are not performing much better right now, Atlanta has at least generated some hits over the past week. They hope to turn the tables on the Cardinals in the upcoming weekend series.
Atlanta was rolling a seven-game win streak when they dropped two of three to the Cardinals while only producing six runs in the series. Things have started to turn for the Braves as they have generated at least four runs in three of their last 22 games. The team looked to be back to winnings, getting four of their last five until they fell the Giants 10-4 on Wednesday. Currently the Braves roster is batting a low .207 in the past 16 games.

In his last start he struke out seven in seven innings for the shutout win. It was the fourth time this season he allowed two runs or less to batters while pitching at least six innings. Against the Cardinals, he recently gave up four runs and two homers.
St. Louis is continuing their winnings ways getting the last five of seven games against the Braves. Lance Lynn gets the call tonight as he is 0-2 in his last four starts after winning his first four. Against the Braves, He as a 4.05 ERA in three career starts. The Braves are hoping they can take advantage of the pitcher's recent losing streak and start generating some hits.
