For the Yankees, as they get ready to start the game, will have to continue hitting homeruns since their offense cannot produce with RISP.

For the Mets to succeed they will have to jump out to an early lead. CC Sabathia has given up a total of 4ER in the first innings of his last two starts.

The New York Mets and New York Yankees will put an end to their regular season battle as aces R.A. Dickey and CC Sabathia look to give their team the win in the rubber game of the series.

Dickey has been absolutely outstanding in 2012. He continues to show dominance of his knuckleball, which is almost an oxymoron. He has not allowed an earned run in his last five starts and has pitched consecutive one-hitters.

CC was once the ace of the Big Apple, but Dickey has removed him from this pedestal.

Sabathia's numbers are not overpowering, but he does enough to give the Yankees a chance to win in all his outings. So far in 2012,  he is 9-3 with a 3.55 ERA.

In his last start against the Atlanta Braves, Sabathia went the distance. He pitched 9 innings of 2-run ball.

CC has great numbers, but they look average next to Dickey's.

R.A. has 11 wins and leads the Majors with a 2.00 ERA and a winning percentage of .917.

The series started with the New York Mets taking the first game 6-4. Saturday night, once again powered by home runs, the Yankees were able to come back and defeat the Mets 4-3.

The Yankees will still have the season series advantage since they swept the Mets the first time the teams hooked up.

Keep refreshing this page as I will sit through the ball game and live blog the action. It will be a pitching matchup to follow.
