The Yankees come into the game after getting blanked by the Cards and Lance Lynn and now they will try and salvage the series after splitting the first two games. The Cardinals come into the game second in the NL Central while the Yanks are second in the AL East and the Cards need to wake up on offense. The team has been struggling to score without Carlos Beltran in the lineup and they have been out homered by individual players since May 1 and they have the lowest total in baseball. The team is ranked 20th in runs and ninth in batting average, while the pitching is in the top 10 across the board and they are fifth in Era and second in WHIP this season.
