Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles is being linked with a move to Italian club Napoli.
Meireles, who moved from Liverpool to Chelsea on deadline day last summer, was part of the Blues' successful Champions League campaign last season. The 29-year-old has reportedly impressed Napoli's hierarchy after impressive performances for both club and country, according to reports in England.
Napoli are looking to replace Ezequiel Lavezzi after the Argentine made a big-money move to Paris St Germain. According to the Daily Mirror the Italians are ready to bid £8 million ($12.5 million) for the midfielder, who is currently on duty for Portugal at Euro 2012. It is understood, Napoli have already made contact with Meireles' agent over a move to Naples.
Meireles has been a part of the successful Portuguese squad and will face Spain in the semi-finals of Euro 2012.
The former Liverpool player, however, refused to comment on the speculation, saying he is focused on his country's match against Spain on Wednesday. "I am focused on the Euros and cannot think about my future now," Meireles said.
If Meireles does move, it will be his third club in as many seasons, after spending just one season with Liverpool.
