The Stanley Cup finals standings has the LA Kings up 3-0 in the series after a win over the NY Rangers and now they are within reach of the championship heading into the game on Thursday and that will be at Madison Square Garden and Game 4 will have the trophy in the house and the Rangers just couldn't do anything and Jonathan Quick pitched a shutout.
The Rangers came into the Game 3 matchup on Monday night after losing the first two games on the road and those were very tough to handle, dropping both games at the Staples Center and now they have no choice but to try and win the games at home. Lose in game 3 and that means the Cup will be in the building for Game 4 and no one wants to deal with that.
The Rangers have gotten great play from goalie Henrik Lundqvist, but the Kings have been nearly as good with Jonathan Quick and now they are looking like champions once again. The Kings battled back from deficits against the Rangers and it must be so easy to do that for teams when the referees give goals they should not and make terrible calls like they did in the last game, so maybe the Kings are a bit lucky as well. Hockey is hockey, but the team got away with some things in the last game and there's not a chance that the Rangers didn't deserve at least one win from those two games and now if the Kings win, it will cheapen their championship no matter what anyone says.
