The NHL Stanley Cup Finals standings in 2014 has the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings series is now 3-1 after the Rangers won by the score of 2-1 and Henrik Lundqvist made 40 saves at Madison Square Garden and it came with the Cup in the building and all the pressure on the Rangers down 3-0 coming into the game.

The Kings were up three games in the series and seemingly could not be beat the entire Stanley Cup finals and they won the first two games in Los Angeles despite not leading in either game in regulation, winning both of those in overtime. Henrik Lundqvist did not have his best game and while he was good, he was not good enough, allowing a goal to Carter right at the end of the first period and it was basically over after that.

The Rangers came into the Stanley Cup finals after winning over the Montreal Canadiens in six games and the team took a 3-1 lead in that series before closing it out and Montreal was not an easy out for them in the east. The Kings played a seven game series against the defending Cup champions in the Chicago Blackhawks and that series was hard fought and tough, but the Kings were able to hang on to their 3-1 lead and they took it in Game 7. The Rangers played seven games in their first two series of the postseason and they beat two teams from Pennsylvania in the Penguins and the Flyers and
