The World Cup 2014 TV schedule picks up from Brazil this week with group play on the bracket and the start time on ESPN for the soccer games is at 12 pm noon, 3 pm ET and 6 pm ET with three games on the calendar and some of the teams in action include the Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Chile, Cameroon and Croatia and this comes before England and Uruguay are back in action on Thursday.
The matchups on Thursday have Colombia taking on the Toure brothers and Ivory Coast, while Uruguay and England is the best match of the day on the schedule. Greece and Japan finish things off at 6 pm ET and that leads into the Friday schedule, which has Costa Rica taking on Italy in the early game. Switzerland and France play in Salvador at the 3 pm ET game, while Ecuador and Honduras are in action at 6 pm ET and that game will be on ESPN.
England opened up their World Cup campaign with a loss to Italy and that makes this game even more important for the team as they pick up for their second match of the group stage. England should make it out of this group and a win against Uruguay is needed for that and there is a chance the team will be playing without their best player in Luis Suarez.
The United States shocked everyone with their win over Ghana and that came after Clint Dempsey scored 30 seconds into the match. Dempsey got a great feed and then made a fantastic individual play to get the goal and after Ghana tied it up in the 81st muinute, John Brooks put in a corner kick from Graham Zusi and that gave the US three crucial points in the group of death and now they have the chance to make it out of there.
The next game for the US team will be on Sunday and that is against Portugal and comes ahead of the Netherlands playing Chile on Monday. The games on Saturday continue Group G, as Germany plays against Ghana and the German side can knock Ghana out with a win and they come in looking great. The Germany team won over Portugal 4-0 in dominating fashion and now they have the chance to continue into the next stage and they come in as one of the overall favorites.
