The Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals are playing live on the MLB schedule on Wednesday and the AL central division matchup starts at 1:08 pm ET and comes streaming live from Comerica Park as Drew Smyly and Jeremy Guthrie come in for the divisional game as KC is now in first place after a blistering stretch of play.

The Royals are fifth in the league in batting average and 19th in on base percentage and they are also 22nd in slugging percentage. The team is 14th in ERA and seventh in quality starts and they are also 16th in WHIP and 17th in on base percentage.
The Tigers are now second in the division and they are second in the league in batting average and 12th in runs scored and they are also fifth in on base and second in slugging percentage. The pitching has been up and down and now they are 25th in the league in ERA and 14th in quality starts and 24th in BAA. The Tigers can get back into things with wins in the next two games against the Royals.
