8:23 Teams are now taking their time. ANDRE DRUMMOND SELECTED BY THE RAPTORS

Respect Ross' taste for ties. That green bow tie was fairly fresh.

Kentucky 2    North Carolina 1

8:10 New arena. New player for the Warriors. GOLDEN STATE SELECT HARRISON BARNES (7th Pick)

8:08 Golden State is on the clock. Respect Lillard's suit by the way. 1:30 left for the Warriors.

8:06 David Stern doing a great job saluting players and not making it awkward the way Roger Goodell did in the NFL draft. No secret handshakes, keeping it professional.

8:05- 6th Pick in 2012 draft. PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS SELECT DAMIAN LILLARD

8:04 Trail Blazers 30 seconds left on the clock.

8:03 Considered a great rebounder. Was the sixth man last year in Kansas' team last year and now he will be playing in the NBA.

7:36 Anthony Davis- 6' 2" guard in Sophomore and by the time a senior in high school he was 6' 10" will he grow more? HORNETS PICK ANTHONY DAVIS! (Pick 1)

7:33- First pick of the 2012 Draft. Hornets will be given 5 minutes.

7:32- I think my watch might be 2 minutes fast. They go to the stage now. David Stern welcomes people and gets booed. Stern holds his hands to his ear to hear to boos.

7:29- Anthony Davis and his unibrow are ready as the NBA Draft is a few minutes away from take off.

The NBA Draft is about to kick off and I'll be right here with you every step of the way.

The Hornets possess the first pick and everybody expects them to take Anthony Davis.

That won't be a shocker.

The true surprise lies in the rest of the draft.

Michael Jordan has a pivotal decision to make. To keep or not to keep the second draft pick? That is the question.

They are talking to the Cleveland Cavaliers about the second pick for their first round picks. It does not seem likely, but when the clock turns on, anything is possible.

Currently, the NBA Draft Preview has kicked off from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

North Carolina and Kentucky look to make history as they could have four players from each team drafted in the first round of the draft.

In previous history, only the Florida Gators and Ohio Buckeyes have had three players each drafted in the first round.

The players considered to be elite so far in the draft are Thomas Robinson, Bradley Beal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Harrison Barnes.

Stay on this page as I will keep you guys posted on everything that happens in the 2012 draft.

Everything from stats to athlete suits will be covered in this live blog.

The draft starts at 7:30 and will be shown on ESPN.
