The World Cup 2014 tournament is streaming live online and on the radio for France and Nigeria in the Round of 16 bracket schedule and the matchup is in the knockout stage and opens at 12 pm ET from Estadio Nacional in Brasilia as Karim Benzema tries to get his team through to the next stage.

The World Cup is now into the knockout stage and the round of 16 has already been very exciting with just a few games played and now teams are advancing into the quarterfinals. Mexico will be talking about this one for years, as the Netherlands scored a late goal and was awarded a penalty in stoppage time that allowed the Dutch to come back from a 2-1 deficit. The Mexican side has been angry at the referees all tournament and this does them no favors in the eyes of Mexico, who have never advanced from the round of 16.

Germany is playing against Algeria, while France and Nigeria are also matching up ahead of the United States and Belgium game on Tuesday. The other game on Monday was also dramatic, as Costa Rica won over Greece on penalty shots after giving up a late goal and now they are through to the next round and they are one of the surprise teams of the entire tournament. The team had to play over 50 minutes with a man down and they muscled out the victory in penalties and now they await the winners of the next games.

The United States is into the knockout stage for the second straight tournament and this is the first time that has ever been done and the Americans are coming in with confidence and absolutely has a chance to win and advance. Teams like England, Italy and Spain are all at home and the United States is still here and if they get Jozy Altidore back from his hamstring injury the team will be even stronger.

Germany and the United States played the final game of group g against each other and the Americans advanced in the group of death on goal differential after securing a 1-0 loss in that match. The Americans played to their group and did what they needed to do to advance and now coach Jurgen Klinsmann said his team is ready for this round and knows the games will be played to win and he said his team has a good chance to win against Belgium.

The first round is now over and the World Cup is into the third week of play and things continue through next week before the final on July 13 and that comes after the third place game and semis. The tournament has Brazil, Argentina and Germany as the main favorites left and now Costa Rica has played itself into wild card position, as no team wants to play against them the way things are going. The United States has a tough road to the next stage with Belgium and other potential powers are lurking on that side of the bracket as well.

Brazil and Chile played to a draw and had to settle things on penalties and that had an entire nation on edge for that game. The team is unbeaten at home for years now and remains the favorites even without playing their best game yet.
