It would have been a shocker if Anthony Davis would have not been the first pick of the 2012 NBA Draft. The New Orleans Hornets did not hesitate to make the player out of Kentucky their No. 1 choice.
However, many had Thomas Robinson going second to the Charlotte Bobcats. Instead, they went with Davis' teammate, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
Kidd Gilchrist will now go from a Wildcat to a Bobcat, as he hopes to make Michael Jordan and the Charlotte front office look good after making the decision to skip Thomas Robinson.
Gilchrist was one of four Kentucky players who helped the school make history in the draft.
Kentucky and North Carolina saw four players get drafted in the first round for the first time in a NBA draft.
Kentucky also made history after being the first school with two players chosen first and second in the first round of a draft.
With no further ado, here are the results from the first round of Thursday night's NBA draft.
