The only person more famous for having a unibrow is probably Frida Kahlo, but even then, she resorted to shaving it off.
Now Anthony Davis possesses the world's most famous unibrow and he does not plan on having it removed, now or never.
Just a few days ago, Davis and his family decided to trademark "Fear the Brow" and "Raise the Brow."
The overall No. 1 draft pick said "I don't want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it."
He saw people make bucks while in Kentucky. Merchants and t-shirt makers were banking off of the player's profitable look as Davis became exposed to the nation this past season.
As a college player, he could not do anything but play the game and keep his look. Trademarking the brow then would have compromised his eligibility.
The last thing he would want is another LeBron James situation on his plate, who was penalized, not from making a profit, but for accepting gifts while still in high school.
No matter how many times people tell him to cut the unibrow, Davis refuses to bow down. He said that everybody keeps talking about it, so there is no reason for the player to cut it.
Could the unibrow be the new NBA trend? Headbands, cornrows and tattoos were controversial when they first entered the league. Who knows where unibrows might end up?
