Jul 09, 2014 02:04 PM EDT

The World Cup 2014 is back on the TV schedule and the TV start time and channel for Argentina against the Netherlands is at 4 pm ET on ESPN, WatchESPN and ESPN Radio and the game has Lionel Messi trying to get his team into the final over the Dutch after Brazil was demolished by the Germany team 7-1 without Neymar playing.

Argentina comes in as the last team left in South America and they are trying to stop and all European final. Messi has been one of the best players in the tournament and now he is in the semifinals and is looking to get his team through to the next round.

Check here for the World Cup schedule and TV coverage.

Messi has four goals in this tournament and Argentina will be a favorite here, just barely over the Dutch, who have Robin Van Persie and Arjen Robben playing well.  The Netherlands comes into the game after having a very successful run in the group stages and they ended up advancing over Spain, who was surprisingly eliminated and that started off with a loss to the Dutch.

Robin Van Persie and Arjen Robben have given the team a major boost and they could be one of the dark horse teams left in the tournament now that Argentina, Germany and Brazil are the teams through. Everyone that is left has an opening now that Neymar is out for Brazil after his controversial injury in the game against Colombia and now Holland has the chance to make it into another finals after making it to the finals and losing to Spain last time around in South Africa.

The Netherlands is fighting history along with Germany, as no European team has won the World Cup when it's in South America. Louis Van Gaal has been receiving high praise for his tactical work and Van Persie has been able to check out his new manager up close for Manchester United and this team could be a favorite.
