The World Cup is heading to the finals and as players come home after great performances, teams will take notice and that has happened with Liverpool and Roma, as United States and Seattle sounders back DeAndre Yedlin has been mentioned in rumors regarding the Premier League and Serie A sides and could move at some point to Europe at least for a trial period if not an outright transfer.
According to Pro Soccer Talk, Yedlin has hit the radar for a number of teams and reports in England have him a target for Liverpool on trial, while Roma is also interested him after just one season in the MLS. Yedlin had the performance of his life in the last game for the United States after playing very well at right back and all the reports prompted his team in the MLS to address everything, saying that at least for the time being, Yedlin will be with Seattle.
Sounders general manager Adrian Hanauer said this week that Yedlin has drawn interest from teams in other leagues around the world and that he will be playing for the team as they take on Portland coming up on the schedule. He added that something could happen down the line and if/when it does, the team will announce it. Yedlin has had a fast rise since making it onto the USMNT and Jurgen Klinsmann ended up making a very smart decision to bring him to Brazil, even though the team lost in the round of 16.
