Houston Rockets Rumors: Jeremy Lin Trade To Los Angeles Lakers If Chris Bosh Signs and Omer Asik Traded?

The Houston Rockets are dealing with Chandler Parsons and Chris Bosh right now and a Jeremy Lin trade to the Philadelphia 76ers or Los Angeles Lakers could be the next move, as the team has already worked out trading Omer Asik and now those moves are essential if the team wants to keep Parsons as a restricted free agent and Bosh on a max deal and now the Lakers report is on ESPN.

According to SI.com, the Sixers and Rockets are looking at a deal for Lin, as that would be necessary for the team to sign Bosh to a max deal. The team has already worked out a trade for Omer Asik to the Pelicans and both those players have expiring contracts. The deal with Lin is not a done deal yet, but it looks likely if the team wants to keep Parsons and sign Bosh. Lin has a $15 million contract and an $8.4 million salary and the Sixers have enough space to absorb that deal.

The Rockets have been aiming high all offseason and if they miss out on Carmelo Anthony, this could be the next move for the team along with a potential trade for Rajon Rondo. The team went hard after Carmelo and that didn't work out and now they could look at signing Bosh and if they miss out on that, some think the team will go after Rondo. GM Daryl Morey likes making big moves and that could be an option for him, as he has long liked Rondo as well. The Rcokets were also mentioned in the Kevin Love trade talks, but those have slowed as LeBron and Carmelo Anthony make their decisions.

Bosh was offered a max deal at $88 million and four years and now he is considering his options as LeBron decides on Miami or Cleveland. Bosh is wrapped up in that, as he would go back to Miami if LeBron does and now he has to consider his options. The Rockets are on the clock and the Lin deal is essential, as they now have to decide about matching the offer sheet from the Mavericks on Chandler Parsons. The team does not want to let him go, but the cap issues and the Bosh deal may hold things up.

Morey loves Parsons since the team developed him as a first round talent out of the second round and they declined his cheap player option to make him an RFA this year. The team felt that was the best way to keep him and now they risk losing him. The deal to the Sixers is not done yet and another team that was mentioned was the Bucks, as they have the cap space to absorb the deal as well. Lin has been rumored in trades since last season and so has Asik. The Rockets now have to try and make deals in a fast period of time if they want to keep Parsons and that is one of the main priorities for Morey now that Anthony is deciding between the Bulls and the Knicks.
