The Chicago Bulls could try and get Dwyane Wade to join Carmelo Anthony now that LeBron James has joined the Cleveland Cavaliers, as that is his home city and now he could be poised to leave the Miami Heat after they lost James and are likely losing Chris Bosh to the Houston Rockets and that would leave the defending east champions with no one.
The Miami Heat lost the finals and now they have lost their best player and he is gone and now ESPN.com reports that Wade is interested in playing for the Bulls. According to ESPN.com, the Bulls are looking at Anthony and he is deciding now between the Knicks and the Bulls as his final options. The Lakers have been eliminated from contention for Melo and he is not expected to make a choice until the weekend.
James surprised everyone by leaving and now he returns to Cleveland and joins Kyrie Irving and their team, while Wade now is left alone after Bosh signed with the Rockets. Wade brought in those players four years ago and now they are gone and while Pat Riley said Wade would be Heat for life, now he could end up leaving as well. The Bulls are looking to make major moves and one they could be even more motivated to do so now that James is back in their division again.
Wade is not the player he once was and he is on creaky knees and he cannot handle things like he used to and without James, the Miami Heat are not going to be good. The team signed Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger and if Wade leaves, it will be terrible for the team. The Big 3 are gone and Wade now has an option of what he wants to do. Wade can go back to the Bulls and that could be an option for Anthony as well if the team moves Carlos Boozer.
The Bulls were also looking at Pau Gasol and he could be an option if one of those players signs. Melo is the top target, but the team now has an opening for Wade. James started the dominoes and now Wade, Luol Deng and Melo could be next and that makes for an interesting few days once the Bulls start making moves. Last season the Bulls lost in the playoffs and they feel adding Wade and Melo could help win a title.
The team had to deal with a Derrick Rose injury again last season and they also may look at trading Carlos Boozer. Melo is the top target along with Gasol and now they could try and add Wade, who will be doing some soul searching now that James is gone.
